Avici is a MegaCorporation founded by Hecatia Lapislazuli, its current CEO. Avici is a private military corporation, and specializes in the security, firearms, and petrochemicals industries. Avici is headquartered in Akropolis, the capital of Hell.

History

Avici has existed as a proto-corporation since the early Holocene era, during which Tartarian youkai and gods housed the souls of humans that were cast out of Materia by their own gods. Hell rapidly expanded as human populations grew, and for their troubles, many Tartarian gods demanded payment for their services. In exchange for divine favors, Tartarians escorted souls to Hell and tortured them for long periods of time. These favors evolved into the Sinner Contracts, under which humans and youkai may be tortured or forced into labor in Hell to serve for crimes against the state or gods. The Taurus Corporation, a subsidiary of Avici, operates many private correctional facilities throughout Hell.

The Alpha War

During the Alpha War, Avici supplied defense technology and armaments to the United States Armed Forces. The US also contracted Avici-owned PMCs throughout the war.

Avici owns several subsidiaries, especially in the energy and defense industries.

Crownpiece Security

Crownpiece Security is a private military contractor. While its focus is primarily on research and development of military technology, they also provided ground and air support for the USAF during the Alpha War. Crownpiece's military force is composed mostly of oni.

Taurus Corporation

Taurus Corporation is a private correction contractor. In addition to managing Sinner Contracts, Taurus also manages many industrial workforces staffed by prisoners, such as mining operations.

Purefox

Purefox is a petrochemical company that specializes in the extraction and refinement of caustos into caustic fuel.
